This is the fifth mission of the Career mode of Battleships Forever, an excellent freeware game published by http://wyrdysm.com/ In the game, you take control of a flotilla of spacefaring warships. The graphics are simple, but the gameplay is complex, with positioning and micro of paramount importance.

Nagaya, the leader of the Sirius Alpha pirates, seems to have allied with the strange aliens, but addressing that has to wait, because Taurus IV is under attack. We are assigned to lead a task force to relieve the Taurus science station. We must repel the alien assault until relieved.

For some reason FRAPS (what I have to use on this old computer; I bought a license way back in the day) cuts out both when transitioning between the briefing and ship selection and when the mission complete dialogue shows, so I don't get to make an outro and there's a cut in the music at the jump to ship selection. All mission content is preserved.
