BattleTanx MotoTank Only Challenge Part 6 - Abusing Exploits
0So this took a long time to get orchestrated. This was the game I had planned before starting the Pokémon Snap Nuzlocke. I wanted to do a normal practice run to refamiliarize myself with the game, but decided to add even more rules to make it harder. So the goal of this challenge is to beat the main campaign of this game using the Skull Riderz, which consists of Mototanks and a single Goliath tank for defending bases. Additionally, you get the bonus perk of starting with 5 guided missiles every life. After the practice run, I decided being able to use the Goliath tank defeats the purpose of the run. In addition, after starting a run of the first level, I felt that I was relying too heavily on the guided missiles and was escaping the effect of being the weakest tank in the game. After all that was finalized I screwed up the original recording, when using a new setup to bypass the issues with using my old elgato for recording. So this is my 5th time starting up the game, if you include the practice run. The first 2 episodes I'm still a little down about it, but I think I'm good after that.
So this is a very difficult challenge. The kind you should only do once to say you did it. The rules are to only use mototanks, play on Hard (unlimited ammo remains off), and to not utilize the guided missiles in any meaningful way that you start with playing as the Skull Riderz in the campaign. Mototanks are the weakest, but fastest tanks in the game and you don't normally get a chance to play as them as the default gang (Griffion's Army). It will be interesting figuring out how to manage our resources.
