This one checkpoint took me around 1 hour 47 minutes on Battletoad difficulty, the max difficulty. Might be because I have little experience with bullet hell shooters, but this gave me alot of trouble. I havent seen any playthroughs on Youtube that are this far in the game, on the hardest mode, so I will post up more unedited footage of my playthrough. I am a few stages farther than this currently and almost done with the game. There hasnt been any other parts that took me this long.
