Gameplay footage of the Atari 2600 port of Battlezone running in MAME. This version uses a standard joystick but with some fancy button mapping, it works the same as the arcade version with twin sticks. The game plays the same as the original for the most part but it is in full color as opposed to the originals vector graphics so some may prefer this version.

The mapping is as follows:

Up= LU&RU or LU or RU
Down=LD&RD or LD or RD
Left=RU&LD or RU or LD
Right=LU&RD or LU or RD

Legend:
LU= Left Stick Up
LD=Left Stick Down
RU=Right Stick Up
RD=Right Stick Down
