Battlezone Combat Commander Gameplay - ISDF Mission 1: This Is Not a Drill
Hello! It's been a long time since the last video, but I had time to play this short mission. The game is titled "Battlezone Combat Commander", and it is a remastered release of "Battlezone II: Combat Commander", originally developed by Pandemic Studios and published by Activision. I recorded this video by means of the Xbox Gaming Tool.
The events of this game are set a couple of years after the end of the Cold War, and both sides of that conflict, the American NSDF and the Soviet CCA, merged to form the International Space Defense Force (ISDF). It is ignored if the Chinese also took part in the merging, but it is assumed they did. The ISDF assumed the responsibility of defending the Earth from any threat that may appear from outer space. Their leader is General Braddock, who was a war hero from the events of the previous game. However, the ISDF was supervised by the Alliance of Awakened Nations (AAN), which was a political agency led by Ambassador Kossieh.
There was some tension between both organizations about how to manage biometal, but everything went completely off-rails when an Unknown Alien Force attacked the ISDF Cerberus Base on Pluto. This base was build without the consent of the AAN, which was already problematic, but the threat these technologically superior aliens posed overshadowed the tension between the ISDF and the AAN.
The playable character is the ISDF Lieutenant John Cooke, who was assigned to the reconnaisance squad led by Commander Yelena Shabayev. Their mission is to locate the Cerberus Base, which was an Outpost according to the Intelligence Reports, and assist any survivors in the area. The problem is, the Hostiles may still be out there.
I don't know how frequently I will be posting videos of this series, but I'll try to upload at least once a month. I'm very busy right now, but I'll upload them whenever I have a chance.
See you in the next video.
