Finally time to do something again since the vacation is finally over!
Shame that I lost a lot of effort I put in... bloody bad hard drives.

Also more Umineko Thoughts about Gold.

Since I'm really bad at riddles, I have to use a corrupt sort of logic to narrow down where the gold is.

Starting from the top; the answer to the riddle must be a location (as long as the gold isn't a metaphor for something else). And it's expected that the people on Rokkenjima can answer the riddle.

No clear means to 'input' an answer to the riddle has ever been given. Logically the only two ways to submit an answer would be to ask Kinzo/Beatrice or find the gold. Since I doubt the killer(s) would simply come out and say "You're correct." If someone just guessed the location of the gold. So therefore during the storm those on Rokkenjima can get to the gold.

This means the gold is on the island.

Going further with this path, I'm working in the logistics of moving and hiding 10 tons of gold. Undoubtedly if Kinzo had simply hired randos to help him move the gold onto Rokkenjima than it would've gotten out by now that the gold is on Rokkenjima. If Kinzo couldn't discreetly transport the gold to the island than there is one other conclusion: the gold was already on the island before Kinzo purchased it.

As well we know that originally Rokkenjima was to be a naval base for the US. Undoubtedly if a base was going to be built on the island than a team of surveyors would need to examine the island to make sure it was suitable.

If we go with that then there's no way the gold was simply out in the open when the island was initially purchased. So it had to be somewhere hidden.

I propose it was either hidden underground or underwater.

If underwater than the gold can be anywhere near the island, perhaps even in chests like a freaking pirate's booty.

If it's underground... Well, I have my doubts of it simply being in a murder hole in the middle of the island or something. Much more reasonably I'd say it's underneath one of the buildings.

We know it couldn't be hidden in the main mansion or the guesthouse as those both were built by outsider contractors who wouldn't have been able to keep a secret.

The only other buildings we know of are the Chapel and the hidden mansion; both of which have uncertain times of construction with the chapel being said to have been built around the time of the main mansion.

Until we learn more exactly when the Chapel and Hidden Mansion were made I can really narrow down my guess anymore.

So I think the gold is either underwater near Rokkenjima or underneath the Chapel/Hidden Mansion.
