Another of my favourite games from when I was a kid... perhaps just because it is so easy. Shoot eight ships in each convoy and a new one appears; shoot down four convoys and the boss to beat each level. As with many BBC games, the game does not end but repeats indefinitely. In this video I stop after completing the last (fifth) level. There is no point continuing to try to get as high a score as possible, because there is a very simple method of getting an indefinitely high score. When you return to the first level, shoot seven ships of the first convoy so that only one remains, and fly around and collect parachutes to replenish your stock of lives. (For some reason, you seem to find a lot of parachutes when flying NNE.)

In this video I simply aim to complete the five levels as quickly as possible. Tracking down the last ship of each convoy can be tricky, but you can use the fact that the playing area "wraps" in both the horizontal and vertical directions to advantage. It's also a good idea to take advantage of the wrapping to get a good distance to aim at the boss ships on the later levels, as they take a lot of shots to destroy and you don't want to get too close.
