While I discourage gate keeping as much as possible I do think that if someone is trying to outright cheese the game so much so as to not even play the game then they should just play a different game. These 'afk' rune farmers aren't just a nuisance to deal with for unprepared invaders as they actively ruin a large amount of hunter summons, both for the hunter expecting to gank but getting a 1v1 or 1v2 and for any regular group trying to get hunters. They even ruin the game for themselves as a result of trying to brute force their way through while having no real understanding of the different components that would make them better players. Personally I find it to be very fun making these players really panic for a while, especially when I get a rare co-invasion with a friend (who had just learned how to do the flying hammer thing only minutes prior).
