My no-death playthrough of Shadowgate for NES, lighting only 3 additional torches. This one was fun! Exploring a creepy castle with death lurking at every turn was a perfect choice for the spooky Halloween season. I think a few of the puzzles were unfairly difficult but the deaths screens are fun and you're always placed back in the previous room with everything you had just prior to dying so even those obscure puzzles weren't terrible, just time consuming. Playing this reminded me of another point-and-click adventure game that I never got a chance to play, Uninvited, so maybe I'll check that out next.
This isn't a guide, walkthrough, or tutorial, it's just me playing through the game as best I can. What do you think of the game? Do you have any play tips, childhood memories, or interesting stories to share?
