Linux Lite is one of the best distro for someone trying to migrate over from Windows. Over the last week or so I’ve been exploring the Linux Lite operating system. They call themselves, “The Gateway Operating System”, claiming that their ongoing mission is to make the transition from Windows to Linux as smooth as possible.

This operating system is not only for the new user. Even the most advanced Linux user will find this distribution to be a clean and functional system. This is an Ubuntu system running the Xfce desktop environment. Being a GNU/Linux system you can change anything as you see fit. The Xfce is lightweight and highly customizable.

Linux Lite isn’t only for the old hardware in your grandmother’s closest. It is a great addition to the heavy-duty gaming set-ups or processing powerhouses.

I would highly recommend Linux Lite to anyone.
