Beyond: Two Souls Demo Gameplay [HD]
3Please Read: (not because i want you to, but because my 20lbs cat is sitting on me and for the life of me i cannot get up, so i needed something to fill the time until she moves)
I got a code early for the B:TS demo, so i thought i would throw up my first playthrough as quickly as i could for you guys. This is an uncut play of the entire demo which takes place in 2 parts: one when Jodie is young and another, longer section, when she is older.
Here are some brief details about the demo/game:
-Everything is seamless, seriously. Many times i didn't know i had control of Jodie because i hadn't realized the cutscene ended
-You can interact with objects that have a small white dot. Many times i missed them, as they aren't outwardly displayed, making for a much more "movie-esqe" feel to the gameplay.
-Quick Time Events (QTE) come in two forms primarily: slow motion events where you must move the right analog stick in the direction desired, and button presses.
-In the cases found in the demo when controlling Aiden, moving the analogs in would attack or interact with a person, which moving them outward would take possession of them. Also, when flinging objects i only had control of which direction i was facing at certain times.
-While controlling Aiden, Jodie does move around/interact with the situation(s). While it isn't known how extensive this is it is good to know that you don't necessarily need to monitor her while performing acts with the entity Aiden.
-There appear to be multiple options to get through something. For instance i missed going on a window in the train - instead another cutscene occurred. This is a representation to the already confirmed flexibility of the game. It has been stated that there is no game over, just different outcomes. (While i'm not sure what happens if Jodie were to die, i still have yet to try that out in the demo - if she can at all!)
