The next day, you will take your horse out and help Jay. After a conversation, you will be sent to the well to fix things up. When you get there, the problem becomes obvious. Use Aiden to push the debris from the fan blades and it will begin spinning again. Before you are able to leave, the ghost will reappear though, so go to the hut he was near, and head inside. Take a look around, but then exit and you will be seeing an old ritual. After the scene, the ghost will have left you a note in the sand. Follow the path on your horse, and you will arrive at a ruined fort. You will find swords here that you can interact with, that will tell a tale about an entity that destroyed everything. One of them will then point towards a tree, so get back on your horse and head towards the next spot.
After a bit of riding you will find the tree. Once there, dig up the pendants, and you will learn more about what happened, but Jodie will say that one is missing. Before you leave, take note of the large white symbol on the ground. It has 5 points, which is important later. Rush back to the ranch now, to find Paul and the family. Take him inside, and you will find the grandmother. Speak with her, and she will be able to finally explain the last bits of the story. Before you leave the house, you can go visit Paul in the bed he is resting in. Use Aiden to patch him up while your there.
Head outside to begin preparing the ritual. You can find lumber by the side of the house and then you will light it. Grab a branch to begin drawing the symbol that you need. Remember, it is the 5 point one, that resembles a stick figure man. Once it is assembled, everyone will take their position. Use Aiden to fill the fifth slot and the ritual will work, opening a portal. Aidenwill have to help push the entity into the portal. Once it is all done, you will be at a burial ceremony. The ghost will appear after and you can go up to the cave he was at to view some wall drawings. Leave and you will go back to the ranch, where you will finally wrap up the chapter.
