Beyond Worlds - Whispers In The Moss (Part 12)
6A very unproductive journey!
Nothing too exciting happens this time, save for the destruction of the barrier protecting Barrenmore Isle. Afterwards, a boss encounter leads to the swift destruction of the party. A bunch of sidequests open up to reward completionism, with many of the goals quite far from where I'm currently at. After a few failures with the boss, it becomes clear that the game's final healing spell is going to be a critical component of the party's success, which begins a lengthy hunt to track down the creature that will give us the soul needed to purchase it.
But, as I'm mostly just wandering around late-game dungeons not knowing what I'm looking for, the search goes unfulfilled. Since then I've found the monster in question, and my hunch of late-game dungeons wasn't wrong, I just didn't go deep enough. I'll be doing a little off-stream gathering of some better items to avoid a stream of farming some cash and equipment, and we'll see if the next attempt at Barrenmore goes a little better.
