In this Baldurs Gate 3 (BG3) video I compare the two most acclaimed early archer feat options; Ability Increase (ASI) and Sharpshooter (SS), using the power of math and spreadsheets. Warning: This gets pretty nerdy, but don't worry. I will spare you most of the math :-)
After repeatedly running into people trying to compare the two feats by using set initial conditions (specific builds and items) I decided to spreadsheet the problem instead so it would be easier to get an image of the power of the feats in more varied situations.
I think the SS vs ASI debate is an old one in DnD, but the good thing about BG3 is that the set of options are actually limited in some extend. So a decently exhaustive comparison between the two might actually be possible here.
