Big Buck HD - Demos and Arcade Cabinet (Mobile Video Test)
4I've been on vacation for most of the month of July, so it was tough for me to find time to work on more videos. With an iPhone I got as a birthday present back in January 2013 and discovering the 2012 follow-up to one of my favorite games, I'd figure recording video of it would be good to do to test out the video and uploading capabilities of my new phone. I hope others enjoy something different from me.
The Big Buck titles are arcade-style lightgun games where players can hunt for various ungulates (and the occasional trophy animal and small critters around the area), but only the males of each species are allowed to be shot. I first encountered one of the games, "Big Buck Safari" at the Atlantis resort arcade in Reno, Nevada back in 2008, and I fell in love with it for the sheer amount of charisma it had (it was later converted to a Big Buck World game, which is still just as enjoyable). Discovering Big Buck HD had left me almost in tears, to be honest. Seeing a new game in a series I adored was so wonderful, and the graphics were beautiful to look at (it was like a jump to the Wii to the Wii U). I did play this game the day before and a hour or so after recording this, but there was no optimal way to film myself playing with the setup of the arcade. It's pretty fun, like the others I've played.
The video was recorded with an Apple iPhone 4S. The arcade cabinet's location was at an arcade center on Jenkinson's Boardwalk, Point Pleasant, New Jersey.
