The ruthless gangster Xavier Gaudin has ambushed a money-carrier with two accomplices, looting 700 kilos of gold. A little later, however, he was arrested, but the gold are still missing in every trace. Lloyd's insurance company, which had the cargo insured, ordered Jack Clementi to go to jail to lure the gangster out of the hiding place. Clementi also manages to gain Gaudin's trust and thus has the good fortune to be taken along by Gaudin when he flies. And so, Gaudin and Clementi find shelter in a country inn whose owners have been greased by Gaudin to hide it. Inside, Gaudin puts so much pressure on the family that she does not dare betray him. So Clementi and Gaudin make their way from there to a nearby moor. As it turns out, Gaudin, on the run from the police, sunk the cash transporter into this moor. With Jack's help, Gaudin finally manages to pull the cash transporter out of the bog with the loot. But then suddenly the two former accomplices Gaudins appear in the country inn and Jack's camouflage flies up. The situation comes to a head when Gaudin takes the daughter of the family hostage and threatens to kill them, should he not be allowed to run away with the loot.
