BINOCULARMAN -How to win in PvP with Binoculars! -DarkSouls2
If you believe binoculars are overrated, then look no further! Only short-sighted souls cannot appreciate the glitchy-buggy goodness that is a good binocular build!
So why should you consider using Binoculars?
- You can cancel and shorten many recovery animations, as seen here! https://goo.gl/u6Y8Fh
- That includes rolling too, very noticeable on fat rolls. Watch it here! https://goo.gl/7TLBVv
- You can redirect special weapon spells like this~ https://goo.gl/WUuaC5
- Redirect most pyromancies, great combat trick!
- Opens up lots of tactical options, go with the bino-improved one-handed moveset and whenever needed just go to your ol' 2-handed attacks as normal!
- You can bino-cancel your own shadow. I don't know why...
- Bino-cancel the sun. Seriously, go to Heide's Tower of Flame and give it a go!
- You can stare into their soul....
So my overall thoughts? It makes some rather unusable weapons totally legit just with the animation cancelling alone, just remember to turn up the camera sensitivity since it's better to play unlocked almost all the time. The possible 3-hit-combo is icing on the green blossom. I would say none of this is game breaking yet, there is bound to be ONE weapon that may have the potential to break pvp with binoculars, I'll leave that to others. I'm just happy the ol' greatsword/hammer builds are made viable/fun again. Still has nothing on the Sanctum Crossbow, seriously. That thing is just nuts.

Oh, interesting data vid to follow in the morning. In the meantime major thanks to Matt (pingas) and MrKomo for helping me test some data. Lakanus too for suggesting to me about this possibility! I thought it might of just been in my head until then.
