Binocular HitStun//3HitCombo in Depth - DataTalk
Just some more bonus info on the ol' Bino-stunlocky-3-hit-combo. So I'm just gonna ramble a bit.
But in summary:
- It works, win PvP
- It doesn't work? I can't replicate this in testing?
- Is my whole life a lie? What is this? It just worked in PvP again...
- Perhaps hitstun last longer on punishing certain attacks?
- Maybe it was because my testers were standing still and not in a action?
- But I don't think that is the case... due to a clip.
- I think it is often unavoidable, gonna pull off all 3 hits with no escape.
- BUT I also think it works more often than it should since people are just not ROLLING out of the way
- Possibly due to a very short opportunity to roll
- But more likely most players understand/conditioned that stunlock works for 2 hits
- E.g If I hit you normally twice in a fight and you tried to roll away asap you might not bother attempting to roll on the first hit on the bino-3-hit-combo. That's some next level bait or some shit.
EDIT- Got some good ideas from you guys, could be poise counter-attack interaction (so testers standing still can roll out), could be the broken weapon swings slower. I think it really just might be that broken weapons swing slower.
EDIT EDIT - Broken Weapons do NOT swing slower! The speed is equal, quick 10min test proves this- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4VG7kj5rkI&feature=youtu.be
So in conclusion... DEEPEST LORE. As long as it works right? I would go test it more but want to move on and make other stuff. You just have to beliab it wurks and it will.
Major thanks to Matt (thanks bud) and MrKomo(topBloke) for helping me test this on such short/no notice.
