Playing the Aug 04 1995 prototype of Biohazard. Lot's of interesting things that I noticed...

-You can only play as Chris Redfield
-There is no inventory screen
-You cannot pause the game
-You can switch weapons with the push of a button
-You can't use the knife (or at least I couldn't figure out how to...)
-You have infinite ammo
-All the Zombies you encounter are "lab-coat Zombies"
-Enemies will respawn once you re-enter a room
-Some of the door textures are different
-The art gallery room with the 1F map is visually different and you cannot interact with the statue in the middle of the room
-There is a Hunter instead of a Zombie where Kenneth's body usually is
-You cannot access any of the upper floor
-There are various different camera angles
-The dining room is looking very bare compared to the retail release
-The shotgun sounds different
-You cannot do the birth to death painting puzzle
-There is no place to put any of the crests
-There are no typewriters
-There is only a single music track that plays (I think?)
-There are 2 Zombies in the dining room
-You cannot interact with the piano or move the shelf in the same room
-Rebecca Chambers or Albert Wesker are nowhere to be seen
-You cannot interact with things like paintings, windows, etc
-There is a Spider in the elbow-shaped room where the Cerberus' usually jump through the windows
-Whilst you can move the display cabinets in the elbow-shaped room, there are no items to be found
-The title screen is different
-There is no intro movie or any opening at all
-When you die, you just get a "game over" splash screen
-You have to double tap UP to run
