Black Mesa developer Crowbar Collective launch Xen Museum
'Black Mesa' developer Crowbar Collective has launched the Xen Museum.
The company is giving fans a chance to get a closer look at how the 'Half-Life' remake was made, and the project features playable levels and other material from the development.
The studio said in a statement: "We hope you enjoy this fun and interactive tour of our intensely difficult five years of development.
"We thought this was a really cool and unique way to show off the way a game can develop and evolve over time.
"We've never quite seen anything like it, and we hope you guys have as much of a blast playing it as we did making it!"
The museum features three biomes coming off the main atrium, with each of them representing a chapter (Xen, Gonarch's Lair and Interloper).
The biomes then feature multiple portals which take you to a specific map, and these are linked to a computer which lets gamers choose which development version they want to access.
Crowbar added: "Each map has several versions, taking you from the beginning of its development to near the end, allowing you to actually witness first-hand how the map evolved over time."
