ᐅ Information ᐊ
Black Mesa (Source) is a project developed by Crowbar Collective and aims to bring back the original Half-Life with updates graphics and sound design. It uses a modified version of the Source Engine that supports most new shaders and as such puts Half-Life (1) on the same technical level as Half-Life 2 and its expansions.
These videos showcase in-progress gameplay sessions used to playtest and give feedback on the current build of the multiplayer of Black Mesa. Developers were also part of the playtest and have [BMS] prefixes in their names.
Do note that my current computer could run all the higest settings with relatively no problems, though it is showing its age (HD5870 has been released 6 years ago). As such it will not be 60FPS 100% of the time, though it should run perfectly with almost all the GPU's that come after the HD5000 series and NVIDIA equivalents (that rank on par or higher than the GPU used in the playtests).
This multiplayer is a ton of fun, which is in addition to its excellent single player (which is still in development at the time of recording these playtests). I absolutely recommend everyone to get his copy of Black Mesa, regardless of owning the original Half-Life or not.
