Yes, the famous Black n Red notebooks now come in softcover! What you are looking for is the "Black n' Red Business Journal, 71 Sheets, 8-1/4 x 5-3/4", Black (400065000)" http://amzn.to/2nmdoiZ . This is a very cool notebook, that is very much like the popular Black n Red series, but with a much more usable softcover that won't stab you in the hand every time you reach in your bag. It comes in two different sizes (small and medium) and in either a black cover or a red cover.

The paper is the same as in the hard cover version. It's not perforated and holds on to ink well, so smearing is generally not an issue. There is a fold in the back, if you are into that sort of thing.
