Talk about games that got hit with the worst side of luck imaginable. Blake Stone came out literally a week prior to it's juggernaut of a competitor, DOOM. As a result it basically got swept under the rug for the vast majority of FPS gamers of the era. That said, my dad and I used to play the shit out of the game and I have very fond memories of this game and the nostalgia is SUPER high.

*For the record, I am playing on the BStone source port; the visuals here are not representative of the original game, but make for a better viewing experience*

This game is built on the Wolfenstein 3D engine, but it takes it to the next level and features more unique weapons, enemies, and mechanics than its predecessor. It is also EXTREMELY difficult on the higher settings as so many of the enemies become bullet sponges and your maximum ammo count is again capped at 100. It's a constant battle to manage your health and ammo, but that's what makes it fun to play. It's also VERY gory, at least for the time; in some ways I would honestly say it's comparable to DOOM's level of gore.

I'll probably be uploading more of this at some point, so stay tuned if this is something you're interested in. Also, for the record, I was initially planning on doing lots of Cyberpunk 2077 streaming and uploading here... but unfortunately I've been getting a lot of crashing ever since the second stream. As a result I think I'm going to wait to stream it until some of these issues can be worked out, but I'll be sure to get back into it ASAP.
