After so many years of waiting... welcome to Scorn. Contrary to what people might have expected, this game isn't an action-oriented FPS (AKA, this isn't DOOM in H.R. Giger's universe). It's more so an interactive piece of artwork; an absolute mindfuck; a disturbing, but not horrific journey that involves a variety of sometimes confusing puzzles and a smattering of creatures that are all potentially lethal if engaged. There is no written or verbal dialogue, no audio logs, and nothing to tell you what to think about it. Rather, it leaves subtle clues throughout the environment and allows you to interpret it however you see fit. Personally, I think it's a unique allegorical take on procreation and the overall cycle of life and death.

This isn't my first run through the game because I wanted to experience that at a slower pace, to take in everything as a more visceral experience. Instead, this is my second go at it and as such it is about an hour faster than my initial session. Despite that, you can tell that I still get turned around a time or two and some of the puzzles are still kinda tricky, but this will give you a good idea of what all awaits you should you decide to play it yourself. I highly recommend doing so for anyone that might find this entertaining, as experiencing if yourself is a whole different beast. I purposefully did not do any unnecessary exploration for those than plan on playing this, that way you'll have the chance to discover a few cool things on your own (there's one spot in particular in Act 5 that I'm thinking of, for example).

Also, for the record, I do not own the Benny Hill theme and all rights go to their respective owners. Don't ask; you'll see why that's even a thing I need to say here, lol. If you don't want to wait, I'll spoil it below with a time index for those curious.

Hope you enjoy!

2:04:32 Alright, so what happened with the glitch is that I somehow got halfway stuck in the wall of the carriage thing at the transition point between Acts 4 and 5, before hitting the save at the beginning of Act 5. There's a short cutscene of the parasite further distressing our character and after it finished, I couldn't move or do anything. I looked around for any possible prompts or something that would free me, but nope... I knew I'd have to reload and go all the way through Act 4 again. Fortunately this only took about 20 more minutes and I initially thought about just cutting it all out, but I decided to have some fun with it instead, lol.
