The "shareware" episode of Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold had so many secrets-hidden-within-secrets that I always assumed that the rest of the game would be the same way. For the most part, that hasn't really been true.. until now, when the secret level you reach by teleporter was hidden inside the secret level you reach by elevator. I just wish that the "yellow keycard sequence break" thing had either been more useful, or an intended part of the game..

Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold is a first person shooter game developed by JAM Productions and published by Apogee Software in 1993 for DOS PCs, and would easily be considered one of the better "clones" of the original Wolfenstein 3D.

In the distant future, the evil Dr. Pyrus Goldfire has been twisting the STAR Institute, and the brilliant scientific minds it employs, toward the creation of genetically engineered mutants. With an army of monsters, Goldfire plans to take over the Earth.. unless Blake Stone, a British secret agent, can stop him!
