Combining the 2D sidecrolling action of games like Super Mario Bros. and the top down formula of The Legend of Zelda as well as being heavily inspired by the non-linear exploration of Metroid, a small team of developers at Sunsoft created what they envisioned as "the best action game to date" on the NES. Is their creation, Blaster Master, still a blast to play today?
