Diablo 4 ran a free stress test event last weekend and... it was not good. Excellent boss designs can't make up for poor fundamental systems - a boring loot system, terrible pacing issues and a storyline that relies upon multiple characters - including your own - doing things that just seem wrong.

The fatal flaw that if not addressed will actually kill the game is your character becoming weaker every time you level up, and by a lot. Getting a level up is a punishment in D4, not a reward.

I had low expectations as this is the work of 2023 Blizzard, not the skilled game devs of 1997-era Blizzard North, and they certainly were not exceeded.
