Blender Beginners guide to making a photorealistic moon full explanation
Today we are checking out Blender, utilizing uv maps presented by Nasa we are able to create a moon inside of blender. This tutorial is beginner friendly as every step is explained so might be slightly slower for blender pros but tried to explain every step as best I could to make it easier to follow. Depending on personal taste determines how much you would want to change the suns color inside the viewport realm. We also use ambient occlusion to make the moon get a more real life look to it. Using two separate photographs of the moon we are able to get the color and the bumps properly to make it appear to have been beat up by meteorites.
