This part of the game is the bggest pile of bullshit there is. There are no obvious signs that indicate you should be attempting to get behind the asteroid and destroy the other two tethers. The breadcrumb system even says that you should be jumping directly on it from where you stand, but noooooo that always leads to death.

After that little bit they decide to lock me in a room after jettisoning the asteroid into space. Well, since the communications array isn't online it falls on me to go fix it so we can contact the Valor. I wonder if they picked up anything in transit?
