I love the design of Anor Londo with the huge buildings and doors, however it feels like the reason the area is so "empty" is a rendering issue, maybe the engine wouldn't have been able to handle an area filled with mobs. Or maybe the creators was forced to acknowledge the difficulty. In any case it is really cool.
