"Bliss" (Demon) by Rafer {All Coins} | Geometry Dash 1.6
802This is rafer's newest level, and some might be disappointed to see that it's not a 2.1 level. It was made for genericqueso's first creator contest, which basically requires you to make a 1.6 level. This might not be the last entry I upload if more awesome levels like this get released for it. The visuals of this might look outdated to you, and it's definitely not as interesting to look at as f3hcs by durianhead, but it's still a very solid 1.6 level design-wise. Its main strengths are the colors and gameplay in my opinion. The colors have much more variety in them than many levels even nowadays do, which is much thanks to player colors. They are always great to see executed well. The gameplay being one of the strength isn't a surprise, considering we're talking about rafer here. It's as fun to play as most of his other levels, while having a nostalgic look, so it's definitely a level I recommend. I hope it can get featured and become an Easy Demon.

Silver. 2/4. It's quite interesting to see what rafer has pulled off without for this level's single coin without using any triggers. This severely handicaps the possibilities for the coin, and yet he's able to make a coin better than many levels have today with 5 years worth of changes. User coins weren't added back in 1.6, but were sometimes put unofficially with a pulsing star and a circle around it. The amount of features unavailable to rafer won't be taken into account when judging, but it's still a solid coin. Coins are always judged compared to the standards when released.
- 1st coin: Silver. At 0:42, you gotta jump into the Ball portal as late as possible. This takes you below the following part and into the coin route. I think rafer could have done a slightly better job with the fake spike by adding more corner pieces. It's very obvious where you have to go to find the coin. Naturally, for this to get a higher rating it could have used a collectible earlier on that unlocked this path, but this contest is restricted to 1.6, so he'll just have to deal with this rating. The coin path itself isn't particularly hard, but the transition into the Ship at 0:45 can cause some problems. This is where you're awarded the coin. The coin is somewhat difficult to find and requires some harder timings. It's always nice to see a full alternate route like this used for coins, which still isn't done a lot. It's a solid coin, but it could have been even harder to find and get.
