Blood was released in 1997 by Monolith Software.

The game uses the famous "Duke 3D" build engine.

There were two soundtracks composed for the game, the first one was classic old PC soundblaster music and the second one was composed specifically for the CD-Rom with a better sound quality.

A lot of gamers do prefer the old fashioned one. This video lets you hear the differences between both into the first level of the game. (Sound Blaster 16 vs CD )
