3There are certain Caryll Runes which protect against poison. They can be found in the Forbidden Woods. The problem is, they are so deep within the woods, that by the time they're found, you've almost completed your exploration there. We believe the reason for these runes to be placed so late in the woods area, is that they are to be found and used in the Nightmare Frontier location; an extremely difficult location to explore without defense against poison. If you haven't picked up those runes from the Forbidden Woods, take the time to do so. You'll also get the Tonsil Stone from NPC Patches in the woods. In addition, get the Sedatives the NPC Lonely Old Dear gives you at Cathedral Ward. Finally, stack up on Antidotes and wear protection against poison, either by an outfit
or from runes.
