This is it, the final Game with Gold we will ever cover on the channel. Luckily, it's a good one.
Metroidvania? Check.
Dead/dying world? Check.
Vague lore? Check.
Overall feeling of dread/sadness? Check.
Last hope character of vague origin and no memory? Check.
Odd characters who are being corrupted/driven mad by the world? Check.
God asking for help and likely to turn out to be the problem? Check.
Deceptively tough challenge? Check.
Obviously very tough and highly skilled characters leaving everything to a newbie who can barely run or hold a sword before levelling up? Check.
Okay, so it's not the most original setup, however, it is one I adore!
The game is largely about exploration with a decent amount of action to help keep interest. It handles beautifully, and really is a joy to control.
