- Stereo: The Blue Yeti records from the front, and sides. This is perfect for recording vocals or instrumentals
- Cardioid: The Blue Yeti records from only the front. Cardioid is perfect for recording podcast, voice overs, tutorials, and vocals
- Omnidirectional: The Blue Yeti will record from all directions equally. This is perfect for conference calls, ASMR, and events.
- Bidirectional: The Blue Yeti will record from the front and back. This is perfect for interviews, instruments, and vocal duets.
Pros of the Blue Yeti USB Microphone:

Cons of the Blue Yeti USB Microphone:
- Uses mini USB rather than the more widely compatible micro USB
- The Blue Yeti is pretty large which might be a problem for people with limit desk space
- No On/Off switch
