An exemplary creation which symbolizes the affectionate bond towards a mother.

The song narrates a child-monk, depicting a young, moral and virtuous character in the society; he who has been guided by the teachings of "The Enlightened One." In contrary to the understanding of the nature of attachment in the materialistic world, the monk recalls the qualities of his mother.

‘Mother’s Love’ is indeed a significant memory that lasts a lifetime. Amidst the pain borne by her throughout childbirth, she heals herself with the laughter and nourishment of her baby. She miraculously transforms her blood into milk. Her comforting cuddles, warming hugs, heavenly love, committed sacrifices, care and protection ranks unmatched. Nevertheless, her tears are never shared and nothing does she expect in return than success of her children.

Grown up as a child in a rustic environment, his imagination freezes sceneries along home trail. Unfortunately, poverty cross-overs with religion in the context of modern society. Thus, innocent children become confined emotionally. This child-monk wishes to crawl back into past, back into the fields where he could tangle in ‘her’ arms. He enjoys playing but fears being neglected as he mutters to his imaginary mother, ‘‘What if I get refused by my playmates since I’m robed?’’

Despite the endless flashbacks, he is determined to fulfil his mission as a monk. Thereby, he promises to guide his relatives through ‘Saṃsāra’. Completing this task, his ultimate hope is to return back into his mother’s aura. Sorrowfully, he murmurs his grieve on the loss of his beloved mother. Never to return…

Words fail in expressing gratitude to a mother. We receive no payback time for parents, so remember to offer utmost respect and attention to them for molding what we have become.
