Being experienced, in board games or otherwise, is generally good. However, it can create problems and rifts at a table. How can they be avoided? Let's discuss! Check out my Patreon and become a sponsor! - https://www.patreon.com/dannycgamingsci

I'm the first to admit that I'm not overly experienced with playing board games. I've been playing awhile, but not nearly as long as others, and I'm always excited to learn new things and try to games. That said, it's not always great to have ALL the experience at a table, especially with newer gamers. We want them to feel welcome and capable, not overwhelmed and inferior. There's also the distinct potential issue of knowing MOST of what's going on in a game. Enough to get through it, but missing one or two key aspects can ruin the experience. In this video I discuss all these aspects of experience in board gaming and what I've personally observed, and how I've found best to address the issues. What about you? How have you noticed issues in experience differences, and fixed them? Let me know in the comments!
