Board Game Discussion - House rules
9House rules in hobby board games have gone hand in hand for some time now. There's often rules that don't work too well, aren't written efficiently, or are plain confusing for players. To combat this, players have been hotfixing rules for as long as there have been games.
That said, we need to be certain not to take things too far. Changing fundamental mechanics of a board game make it a different game experience. While that can mean you're making a 'new' game experience, or making the original more replayable, we should (ideally) be careful not to ruin the spirit of the games.
