Games, like most hobbies, are not super cheap. So that means that people will try to get around paying for it. Others are the helpless victims of these schemes. While piracy in board games is not nearly as rampant as in fields like music, movies, and video games, it does occur, and hurts publishers, designers, consumers, and more.

That said, what about accidental or partial piracy? What if you think a copy is legitimate, but turns out it isn't? What about re-creating a game with other parts and doing a proxy play? Let me know in the comments!
