Board Game Discussion - "Play and Burn" Games
11Relatively recently, we've seen a MASSIVE upsurge in the number of board games that, for one reason or another, are fully playable once. Whether it's because you're following a mostly linear story and learn the ending, physically change/destroy components for the game, or otherwise permanently alter you or it, it's far less likely that you'll be able to play the game again.
For my purposes here, I'm discussing T.I.M.E. Stories, Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective, Risk: Legacy, and Pandemic: Legacy. Is it worth it to play a game only once? Would you be willing to play through again regardless?
