Board Game Discussion - Reviewer Bias
There are literally thousands and thousands of streamers, reviewers, and more in the world. At some point, though, you have to think if it's a good idea to listen. What say you? Check out my Patreon and become a sponsor! - https://www.patreon.com/dannycgamingsci
Games, movies, TV shows, food, books, and more. What do they have in common? They all get reviewed! Someone out there is doing the thing and telling you what it's like. It's great to hear about something before you actually take the plunge, but to what extent? Reviewers can rely too much on their own bias in rendering a verdict/opinion, and how does that help you?
This this video, I talk about some of the things that you should be looking for in reviews and the like - objective information, a level headed analysis, and key points. But let's ask all of YOU! What do you think about reviewers in general, and why? Do you listen to what their opinions are, or just pay attention to the game materials and the like? Let me know in the comments!
