Bomberman: Party Edition - Modern Normal Mode: Stage 1-3
Bomberman: Party Edition and Bomberman World have similarities, but their contrasts stand out better. I believe World focuses more on detail, attitude, style, and storytelling while Party Edition here focuses more on simplicity, color, nostalgia, and the storytelling of its single player mode.
World has 25 levels, while Party Edition has 50. Based on how I made each video for both games, I should be uploading 4 World videos for every 5 Party Edition videos to represent each of both games' worlds.
Party Edition's Normal Mode has you play through those 50 stages as the White Bomber, as well as several bonus stages. Playing this in the Retro style will make you pretty much play the NES Bomberman in all of its 8-bit glory, but with an updated HUD. Meanwhile, using the Modern Style will let you play a remake of that game using this game's usual graphics. I go for modern.
--------------
In each stage, you must find and kill every monster you find on the stage without letting them kill you first, and also without killing yourself from your own bombs. After killing all of the enemies, you have to find a door hidden in one of the soft blocks that you destroy with your bombs. If the bomb's explosion hits the door, however, more enemies will come out and you'll have to kill them, too.
Take too long before time runs out, and a bunch of really difficult late-game monsters will appear everywhere, making it almost a guarantee that you will die.
Also, there's exactly one power up in each stage. Pick it up to change the music for the rest of the stage, and make sure you don't die, or you may lose it. If you burn a powerup with your bombs, that will spawn more enemies, too!
--------------
I'll list each stage's original enemy and item stats:
- Stage 1:
--Enemies: 6 Balloons
--Item: Fire Up
- Stage 2:
--Enemies: 3 Onils, 3 Balloons
-- Item: Bomb Up
- Stage 3:
-- Enemies: 2 Balloons, 2 Onils, 2 Blockheads
-- Item: Remote Bomb
The Remote Bomb is the only Bomb you need in this playthrough. They don't automatically explode as you do that just by pressing the X button!
Remember to get every item and never die. Stay tuned as I keep uploading videos of this, and you'll get to eventually see why this will let me rip the game in two!
