The last normal Earth stage, and this one seems to take place near huge, steep cliffs. To get across a gap, you have to knock over a tree with a bomb, then walk over it.
That tree and the two slopes you find here can't interact with your bombs in anyway. Your Bomb Kick will just make the bomb stop here they start.
Two particular enemies you'll find here besides the cowheads are an armadillo and a mole. That armadillo is actually a subtle hint as to how the Earth Bomber will fight you in the next stage. Meanwhile, you can't cook the mole until his head is sticking out from the ground.
Gather those 6 Crystals while blowing up everything you can see to move on to Area 1-4, where Bomberman can finally fight that cocky Earth Bomber!
