Bonanza Bros Game Ending
68This is the ending from Bonanza Bros. on the Megadrive. It's a port of an arcade game I really used to love, but could only get to stage 4 or 5. I really liked it's style and the mechanics of sneaking around trying to go unnoticed.
The only problem as I played the rest of the game is that the time limit was so tight, it's not possible to even think about stealth, you literally just run for it - and you end up exploiting weaknesses that the guards have with the pseudo third dimension. i.e it's very easy to move you character around the guards (or jump over them), so the whole mechanic goes out of the window and it becomes a bit of a run and jump-fest. Bit of a shame, as the original idea is much better.... but I guess one of the issues with an arcade port where the idea is to get you to spend money ASAP.
One slight advantage I notice when having to capture this on 50hz (see horrible 60hz video for reasons why) is the clock seemed to tick by slower, giving me much more apparant time than normal to finish the final level.
