This is the final cinematic from Alan Wake on the 360... which has literally been sat on my shelf for months and months before I actually got around to playing it this week.

Alan Wake tells a pretty good psychological horror story, similar in some ways to parts of Silent Hill and resident Evil. Alan is a writer who's wife dissapears, he finds himself fighting enemies overwhelmed with a dark spirit - that's the simple version.

The more complex version is, as it suggests, a bit too complex to explain here, but the short version is that he's in one of his own stories that's he's writing in order to save his wife Best you just play the game really and find out what that means.

Whilst the game isn't scary as such, I found the experience really quite tense, wondering if Alan was going to immediately die around every corner. Checkpoints are pretty generous, so it's not something you really have to worry about - but the game did manage to convey that constant fear that something was about to happen
