*SNK vs. Capcom was ported on the Playstation 2, however only in Europe, it was published by Ignition Entertainment.
What happened was, at one point, SNKPlaymore was planning to release this game in the U.S., however theyt found out that SCEA had some unofficial policy that games has 2D design history must have a lower MSRP. There was never a concrete proof of why SNKPlaymore refused to port it but, the majority of sources say that SCEA wanted them to lower the MSRP (rumors were from $50 to $40-$30).

With that, SNK vs. Capcom for the home consoles made some update like smooth graphics, refine visual for special and super moves, and new modes such as Survival and Gallery, plus the XBox version has online, but the best part is, the hidden characters are unlock from the starts, except for Athena and Red Arremer.
And one last thing, Dan Hibiki coming to Street Fighter V this Winter 2020.
