Book Discussion 14: The Christian and The Pharisee by David Rosen and R. T. Kendall
I didn't get very far into this book because it didn't seem to be going anywhere. Their back and forth correspondences seemed to hit plenty of road bumps on small, technical matters that I wasn't engaged by. They might make for an alright theological discussion, but it didn't work well in this medium. I think a back and forth exchange organized around topics instead of letters would have been much more effective as it'd cut out so much unnecessary language and structure. I realize these two men are probably quite busy, but transcribing their letters without any editing seemed to be a choice made for their ease instead of for readers' benefit.
There weren't many reviews on Amazon, but the book seems to be held in high regard overall, so again I'm the exception. https://www.amazon.com/Christian-Pharisee-Outspoken-Religious-Leaders/dp/0446697346
