Border Down - Just a credit
*I get pretty salty about my game over as that was as good an opportunity to beat the boss as any for me and I was scoring quite well. Nonetheless I wanted to keep these authentic and not just keep trying till I get a pleasing result. Perhaps you can relate ^-^ .*
Since I hop around my shooting game collection way too much for my own good, I figured I'd at least start playing a credit in some of the games I have little to moderate experience in (or note otherwise if so) and see how I fare. My "shmup tourism" has led to a highly consistent level of mediocre/ slightly passable play across many titles. In fact if we just went by stage 1s, I think I could be a super player. Alas that is not the way it works, nor is it the way this description is intended to head so I'll shut up and leave you with a brief look at G Rev's awesome Border Down.
*G Rev is a boutique studio created from many ex Taito staff, they set out with a goal of creating great shooting games. With Border Down, Under Defeat, and Strania to their credit, I think they have more than succeeded.*
Border Down was released in 2003 for Naomi Arcade and the Sega Dreamcast.
