If you're really lazy about doing sidequests like I am this is a pretty good way to gain a few levels to be able to catch up with the storyline. ~35k exp in 3 minutes and Orange items to boot probably faster than most quests you can do. Just don't pick up the shock artifact, I've found that the Aliens sometimes don't spawn if you pick it up though it's probably safer to just leave it there till you're done farming. This can also be done on the first playthrough as well just reduce the exp amounts but the process is the same.
Finally got my new comp and been playing borderlands lately.
