What is Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel?
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is a first-person shooter, role-playing game, commonly refereed to by it's sub-genre, "loot 'n' shoot", that can go up to four players in cooperative gameplay, and was released in the Fall of 2014 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. The game's story takes place on Pandora's moon, Elpis, and in between the original Borderlands and Borderlands 2, hence why it is called "The Pre-Sequel". During the story, you learn about Borderlands 2's main villain known as Handsome Jack and his rise to power. Therefore, connecting the dots between the ten year time-span between the previous two games.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel contains many old and new features in the game that both new and returning fans of the series can't get enough of! It features four new playable Vault Hunters with all new abilities, all new laser weapons, all new cryo or ice elemental weapons, and new Catch-a-ride vehicles including the Moon Buggy and Stingray! Also, due to the low gravity on Elpis, players now require oxygen kits to breath on the moon. O2 kits however, are not just used for breathing. You can use them to give you an extra boost through the air or butt-slam back down to the ground, causing damage to nearby enemies!
